To be honest, I was really looking forward to the release of the continuation of Senua’s adventures since almost seven years have passed since the release of the original Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice. The latest trailer of Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2, which was shown at The Game Awards, made an incredible impression on me and showed phenomenal graphics! Senua’s story is beloved by many and is considered one of Ninja Theory’s best games, as well as the studio’s first major flagship release since becoming the first first-party Xbox team.

Hellblade 2 Release Date

Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2 was released on May 21, 2024. This information appeared after the last Xbox Developer Direct, where the developers of Ninja Theory showed a new look at their game with Unreal Engine 5. The event was held on January 18, and on that day, the development team announced the release date of the game. It has not changed since, which is quite surprising to me because the game took seven years to make.

Senua’s Saga: Hellblade II Story

The events of this action-adventure game take place in Iceland in the 9th century. As in the original game, we play as Senua, a Celtic warrior suffering from psychosis. Senua travels to Iceland to destroy the Vikings who raided her village in Orkney and enslaved her people. The game is also filled with Norse mythology. According to Ninja Theory, the giants have thrown the land into chaos, allowing Draugurs to overrun the various settlements in which Senua ends up. Since the original game, Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice, Senua has come to terms with her past and is no longer afraid of the voices and visions in her head. In the course of her search, she finds not only new enemies but also allies. To me, the plot is very exciting, and the landscapes of Iceland definitely please the eye.

Hellblade 2 Gameplay Explained

The gameplay of Senua’s Saga: Hellblade II is similar to the gameplay of the first game. We travel through a linear world, fight enemies, and solve visual puzzles, but Ninja Theory said that they have improved the combat, which I agree with. According to VFX director Mark Slater-Tunstill, Hellblade 2 has “all-new combat” that “does feel very different from the first game” and is “very brutal.” 

Speaking to Xbox Wire, Ninja Theory studio head Dom Matthews revealed that Hellblade 2’s combat is entirely motion-capture-based. This means that every movement of Senua and her enemies in the fights is based on the movements of real actors, rather than just being animated. 

Hellblade 2 also added a variety of enemies compared to its prequel – there are many more types of opponents in the game.

In addition to the combat, we are also treated to visual puzzles that are most likely be similar to those we see in the original game. Senua’s Saga: Hellblade II is similar in length to the first game, Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice, so we’re looking for around 6-10 hours of pure Icelandic aesthetics, interesting quests, and harsh battles.

Hellblade 2 Available Platforms

Senua’s Saga: Hellblade II is only available on Xbox Series X/S and PC; at least, that’s what is stated officially for now. As a primarily PS5 user, this certainly disappointed me. However, I still have a chance to play Hellblade 2 on PC!

Why Hellblade 2 Will Not Be On PS5?

Yes, you read that right. The game won’t be coming to PS5, at least not as of now, according to rumors. The prequel was released on PC and PlayStation 4 in 2017, with versions for Xbox One and Nintendo Switch coming later. So, it would be reasonable to ask, “Will Hellblade 2 come to PS5?” Yet, answering this question is no longer as easy as it used to be.

Microsoft now owns Ninja Theory, so it is quite obvious that Hellblade 2 is an Xbox exclusive. 

However, in recent months, Microsoft has reconsidered its strategy of releasing a number of its games on Nintendo Switch and PS5. Before those games were announced, leaks claimed that Hellblade 2 was also being considered for a multi-platform release. Yet, as of now, Microsoft hasn’t confirmed any plans to release Hellblade 2 on other platforms. In any case, even if Hellblade 2 appears on PS5, it will most likely not happen soon, as Microsoft’s goal is to keep this exciting game exclusive for as long as possible.

Will It Be Available On Game Pass?

Yes, Senua’s Saga: Hellblade II is a part of Xbox Game Pass and PC Game Pass and is available on Xbox Cloud Gaming since the launch day.

Hellblade 2 Unreal Engine 5

The game was developed on the latest game engine, Unreal Engine 5, and leverages cutting-edge technologies available on Xbox Series X/S and PC. Thanks to the power of the Unreal Engine 5, the developers achieved very realistic and cinematic images. According to recent Hellblade 2 news, the developers said that the game footage shown at The Game Awards in 2019 “was captured in-engine and reflects the power of Xbox Series X available to developers to deliver new universes, experiences and games in ways you have never imagined.” And, boy, I couldn’t agree more. The game does look amazing.

NOTE:

If you want Senua’s Saga: Hellblade II to be a truly cinematic adventure with all the effects and graphics settings available, you’ll need a powerful gaming device, as those system requirements are quite high by today’s standards.

Also, the game does not run in 60 FPS mode on the Xbox Series X/S. The developers instead opted only for a 30 FPS option to achieve a more cinematic feel to the game. Let’s hope that owners of powerful PCs will not be affected by such restrictions and, in general, the game’s optimization will not let us down.

When Does The New Apex Season Start?

Season 20 will start on February 13, 2024, at 10 am PT / 1 pm ET / 6 pm GMT. We already have a confirmed date, which adheres to the rule that new seasons usually start on Tuesdays at 10 am PT / 6 pm GMT, so no changes here.

Everything We Know About The New Apex Season

Now that we know the Apex new season release date, let’s also see some of its features that have been uncovered. In particular, changes in the balance of heroes are planned. In addition, we expect new skins (Epic and Legendary), changes in the operation of armor, and the addition of Legendary perks to armor. There are also rumors about the appearance of a new hero, weapons, and map. Next, I will tell you in more detail about all the changes that await us. Challenges To Unlock Legends For Free

In Apex Legends’ new season, challenges are planned to unlock Legends for free. Players will have two weeks to complete tasks and unlock heroes.

Data miners dug up information that it is possible that the next Apex Legend, Cave, will be waiting for us in the new season. Even though this has not yet been confirmed, the game fans have already taken it to Reddit, and are eagerly discussing the new legend.

Also, according to playtesters’ leaks, he will have the ability “to teleport through walls with portals.” Probably, this would be a type of Phase Breach ability that allows Cave and his teammates to phase through walls and buildings. This ability would work as a countermeasure against controller legends such as Catalyst and Wattson, who have the ability to easily secure buildings.

Unfortunately, all of those turned out to be just a speculation, as EA has not mentioned any of this information in their article on Breakout updates.

The New Map

According to various rumors and teasers, it is assumed that there will be a new District map in the Apex new season. This map will be located in Suotamo, Crypto’s former city of residence. Suotamo is one of the largest cities in the Outlands, and whenever it was depicted, it had a cyberpunk neon look.

In addition, the district is not only closely related to Crypto but is also located on the planet Gaea, which is also the home planet of Ballistic, Caustic, and Rampart. All of this seems to be true, and it could indeed be a new map, as we know that Respawn likes to update maps related to the lore and characters of the game.

Unfortunately, these speculations have not been confirmed, and now we actually know that this map won’t be introduced (at least in the Breakout season). However, what has been confirmed is the fact, that we’ll get a new Mixtape map – Thunderstorm.

Thunderstorm – new Mixtape map

Thunderdome is a new map being added to Apex Legends in the Mixtape rotation. It is based on the original Thunderdome location from Kings Canyon, but has been modernized and upgraded. This floating sky stadium arena is designed for fast-paced action across a variety of multiplayer modes like Team Deathmatch, Control, and Gun Run.

The map has three lanes to promote different gameplay strategies. Fans can battle for the high ground in TDM, fight to control points in Control, or find power positions for an advantage in Gun Run. The map was created to support many different playstyles and counter some commonly used tactics.

Overall, Thunderdome brings back the essence of a classic Apex arena with a modern twist. Players can expect intense, dynamic matches on this map with opportunities for creative strategies. Even if you lose, the energetic virtual crowd keeps the energy up. Thunderdome looks to be a thrilling new addition to the Apex Legends mix that both long-time fans and newcomers will enjoy.

Apex Ranked System Change

According to leaks, there is insider information that in the Apex next season, there will be a return to the rank system of the 12th or 13th seasons. The exact details of ranked rewards and the matchmaking system are still unknown. And this one has been confirmed, guys!

Here are the key changes coming to Apex Legends Ranked mode in the Breakout season:

• Level requirement reduced to 20, splits and season reset returning.
• Scoring now emphasizes eliminations over placements. No cap on elimination scoring.
• New bonuses for top 5 placement streaks and beating higher ranked players.
• Matchmaking based on RP rank rather than tiers.
• Tier promotions and provisional matches removed. Some RP requirements increased.

Overall, Ranked will be reverting back to a more familiar system for players. The goal is to put more focus on skills like getting kills and wins rather than just placement. The updates aim to make scoring more transparent and competitive. Players will need to continue honing their skills to climb ranks in the revamped system.

Legend Upgrades

Legend upgrades is probably the biggest upgrade that will be introduced this season, and here’s what we can expect:

• Players will now earn EVO points during a match by dealing damage, getting knockdowns, using abilities, etc.
• Earning enough EVO will level up your legend, improving their armor and unlocking new upgrades at levels 2 and 3.
• You get to choose which upgrades to unlock, allowing you to customize your legend’s abilities.
• Body shields are removed. Instead legends have inherent armor that levels up via EVO. It is fueled by a Shield Core with health that can be swapped.
• New EVO Harvesters spawn on the map, allowing squads to get EVO boosts.
• EVO Caches are new rare items with EVO that give a full level up.

Overall, the new Legend Upgrade system should allow for more customization and progression during a match. Players can tailor their legend’s loadout to their preferred playstyle. It adds more strategy around harvesting EVO and leveling up your squad.

Changes In Armor And Perks

“When does the new apex season come out?” is not the only question fans ask. They are also intrigued by the balance and armor changes. So, in Season 20, the armor will not spawn on the ground. There will be only the armor with which you appear on the map. That is, the randomness is removed when you land in white armor and your enemy is already in purple. For example, you have blue armor for 75 HP; you kill the enemy and take their purple armor, and you should have a 100 HP shield. Yet, 75 HP of yours remains, and 25 HP will be temporary. As soon as they are broken, you will have blue armor again. Thus, you will constantly upgrade your armor and only occasionally receive temporary additional shields.

Another key feature of the Apex new season is that the armor will have legendary perks. When you upgrade your armor from white to blue, you can choose one of two perks that will last until the end of the match. Having upgraded the armor from blue to purple, you choose perks again, and so on, every time you upgrade the armor. The perks will be very different: a quick rollback of a tactical skill or ults, illumination of potions and grenades, and so on – that is, everything that players tested in the 19th season.

New Skins And Battle Pass Updates

Is the new Apex season out? No, not yet, but we already know about the future skins and events. You can familiarize yourself with the list of new skins for Legends below.

• Legendary skins will be for Wattson, Valkyrie, Seer, Pathfinder, Mirage, Fuse, Crypto, Catalyst;
• Epic Skins will be for Ballistic and Bloodhound (and more to come);
• Epic Weapon Skins for R99, Prowler, Car SMG;
• Lunar New Year for Season 20 will likely be a store event (Legendary Skins for Catalyst, Crypto, and Seer).
• Reactive Flatline Weapon Recolor is coming in the Apex new season.

We also already know about some major events in Season 20. Here are their code names and some information about them:

• Outurban A – Battle Pass.
• Outurban B – Collection Event. It should contain a Mythic skin for Octane (not confirmed) and legendary skins for Newcastle, Wraith, Vantage (and more).
• Outbeast – probably a store event. This event has no legendary skins listed at the moment. There will be Epic skins for Mirage, Vantage, Valkyrie, Newcastle + Pathfinder Rare Skin.
• Outnoir – Collection Event. It will feature a Noir-themed collection event. Outnoir will bring themed legendary skins for Bloodhound, Ballistic, Mad Maggie, Revenant, Lifeline, and Horizon.

Changes In Balance of Two Legends

The developers plan to change some of the abilities of Ash and Crypto when the new Apex season is launched. In particular, the developers consider Ash’s ultimate ability too weak. Thus, she will likely get the following buffs:

• Adjustment to Phase Tear;
• Slight improvements to tactical stats;
• Quality of life QoL changes to passive.

The developers are concerned that Ash may suffer the same fate as Seer. Seer was initially a popular character, used frequently in gameplay, but eventually fell to the bottom of the pick rate and was no longer chosen by players. To avoid this scenario with Ash, the developers are exploring different options to make her stronger and more actively chosen by players.

The same plans for Crypto: they also want to redevelop him, namely diversify the capabilities. His likely buffs for the Apex new season are: 

• Improved/altered drone handling;
• Streamlining of abilities.

No New Weapons

No new weapons will be introduced this season. The process of releasing new weapons has slowed down over the years, as the Apex developers clearly did not want to oversaturate the loot pool or mess around too much with the meta and long balance. However, there are four currently rumored and leaked weapons waiting for release in Apex Legends. The weapons that players might see coming in future seasons are Gemini (energy SMG), Scorpion Crossbow, dual-wield Fanatics (energy Pistol), and Malestrom (light LMG).

Technical Updates

There were rumors, and now there’s a confirmation, that the game would get a new engine, but the developers decided to finish the current one, and there are no plans to switch to a new one. Also, an update for consoles should be released this season, and players will be able to play the game in 120 fps mode when the next Apex season starts.

Other Rumors And Speculations

I have some disappointing news to share, according to the information that we now have from the developers, the Apex new season is going to be quite ordinary. We now know that there won’t be any new weapons, maps, or heroes introduced this season. We may have to wait until Season 21 to see any of these additions.

Video Game Releases 2024 Calendar

Last year was marked by a bunch of long-awaited releases. This year won’t be boring either, as an incredible number of large and small, long and short, epic and boutique games releasing in 2024 await us. For example, S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl is perhaps the most anticipated release of this year from Ukrainian developers. The latest trailers promise not only beautiful landscapes of the Zone but also an interesting plot and characters. Dragon’s Dogma 2 is a long-awaited continuation of the fantasy RPG that has become a cult title, not least thanks to the battles with huge monsters. This year, we will also see a continuation of the remake of the cult Final Fantasy 7 (1997) called Final Fantasy VII Rebirth. In general, there are many interesting games coming out in 2024. So, let’s start with the list of the most anticipated projects that will be released over the next six months.

January

January has begun with an updated PS5 version of The Last of Us Part 2. However, this time, we will be pleased not only with updated graphics and support for all Dualsense features but also with a new roguelike mode. Fans of fighting games can finally wait for the release of Tekken 8, and developers from Ubisoft will delight us with a new game from the Prince of Persia series. Below, you’ll see all the video game release dates in January. 

February

February is replete with upcoming games of various genres. JRPG fans will finally continue Cloud’s adventures in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth. The long-awaited Granblue Fantasy: Relink will also be released. Also, we at GameTree are really looking forward to a major multiplayer pirate-themed game, Skull & Bones. We can’t wait to play the new release from Ubisoft all together! A superhero action game from the Batman universe, Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, will also be released in February.

March

Don’t miss another big 2024 game release in March, Dragon’s Dogma 2. Fans of the samurai era will love Rise of the Ronin. There will also be a continuation of the legendary strategy Homeworld 3 about epic space battles. Alone in the Dark once became the ‘father’ of the survival horror genre, but over the years, this series has become much worse. We hope that it will be reborn in March.

April

An interesting metroidvania platformer, Tales of Kenzera: ZAU, will be released in April. Here, you will have an adventure in the beautiful and treacherous lands of Kenzera. Your character is Zau, a young shaman who made a deal with the god of death to bring his father back from the darkness.

For fans of mech battles against aliens, a new part of Megaton Musashi: Wired will be released. This year, we will be pleased with a variety of upcoming games in the JRPG genre. In April, another interesting representative of this genre will be Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes.

In May, only the continuation of Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2 has been announced so far. However, in a couple of months, some other top-tier and interesting upcoming games from the unannounced ones may receive a final release date in May.

The Vanguard is united, and legends from all corners of the galaxy come together to show their bravery in the upcoming conflict. Together, we will travel to a place of new adventures and old memories, where the Witness continues its subversion, promising oblivion if we do not fight.

Also, with this DLC for the game coming soon, the developers will switch to a new system of episodes with new content instead of the usual battle passes. The developers promise that a little more time will pass between episode releases, and the add-ons themselves will ultimately provide more content. We look forward to a new rebirth and continuation of the franchise, which has been delighting fans for many years now. S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart Of Chornobyl

S.T.A.L.K.E.R. is one of the most anticipated and unusual games releasing in 2024. Many years have passed since the release of the previous part, and we can’t wait to find out what the developers have done this time and what new adventures await us in the beloved dark exclusion zone.

We all love S.T.A.L.K.E.R. for its dense atmosphere, intense firefights, and dangerous anomalies. Creepy mutants and the feeling of a living, breathing ecosystem hidden in the Chornobyl zone make the adventure simply unforgettable.

We can’t wait to see this big game release in 2024, and we also hope that it was the last delay of the game and we can all plunge into this world this fall.

Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League

• Release Date: February 2

This new action shooter game releasing soon will take place in the same universe as the Batman: Arkham series. The game follows four supervillains, Captain Boomerang, Deadshot, Harley Quinn, and King Shark, who are gathered by Amanda Waller and sent to Metropolis to stop the alien invader Brainiac and kill the Justice League members. The open-world design will allow players to roam freely and explore Metropolis both solo and in a four-player co-op.

Skull & Bones

• Platforms: PC, PS5, Xbox Series X/S
• Release Date: February 16

A multiplayer game releasing in 2024 about epic ship battles and a pirate setting in the waters of the Indian Ocean will finally be released soon! The player can customize their pirate ship and go into the open world, alone or with other players. In addition to a variety of PVE content, players will also have access to PVP mode in controversial waters. Pirate-themed games are rarely released, so all fans of this setting should not miss Skull & Bones.

Final Fantasy VII Rebirth

The developers managed to attract a new audience but not disappoint old fans and allowed them to look at the well-known story differently. Therefore, we are looking forward to continuing the adventure of Cloud and his allies. Those who haven’t had time to get acquainted with this wonderful game should start with the first part of the remake, released in 2020 since Rebirth is a direct continuation of the story of the game coming out this year.

Destiny 2 is an online multiplayer first-person shooter created by Bungie and published by Activision. It was released in 2017. I have admired this game since its launch. For me, it’s one of the best sci-fi FPS video games so far! There are not many such stunning games with great lore and interconnected worlds, you know. Right now, Destiny 2 new Season of Wish is on air, but the long-awaited The Final Shape season is on the road, so let me share everything I’ve learned about it.

Destiny 2 New Season Updates To Expect

Like many other Destiny 2 fans, I’m really looking forward to The Final Shape, which has officially been delayed until June 2024. However, Destiny 2 Game Director Joe Blackburn shared information about what we’ll witness throughout the season until the DLC is released. I have collected these theses into one list.

• The upcoming matchmaking system will dramatically change the way Guardians play Destiny 2.
• There will be many changes in PvP: modifiers from Checkmate will appear in core Crucible playlists. Crucible Map Pack will be released in May with three maps: Europe, Neomuna, and Terraformed Pyramid, and they will be quite large. 
• The Season of the Wish will end in February, and then there will be other events for players until June. In particular, in February, Moments of Triumph will start with a series of weekly quests named Wishes. In March, the annual Guardian Games will take place. A new period called Into the Light will last between April and May. It will be free for all to prepare themselves for the Destiny 2 next season. 
• A new Prismatic subclass will allow Guardians to switch between Arc, Solar, Void, Stasis, and Strand damage types. Entering the Transcendence state unlocks a new grenade ability and weapon damage bonuses.
• Exotic class items will be introduced, enabling players to steal perks from other Exotics and merge them into one powerful piece of armor. Each class item will roll with two random Exotic perks.
• Examples of Exotic class item combinations include the Titan Mark Hunter Exotic Cloak, which combines the perks of Spirit of the Star Eater and Spirit of the Ophidian, and the Warlock Exotic Bond, Solipsism, which includes perks previously exclusive to Hunters and Titans.
• The Final Shape will introduce new enemy units called Subjugators, new Super abilities for each class, and a new Raid to fight the Witness. 

Content That Will Be Cut from Destiny 2 when The Final Shape launches

Destiny 2 is undergoing significant changes with the release of The Final Shape expansion on June 4. Several elements will be removed to make way for new content. 

• Most Into the Light content will be removed, including the Hall of Champions social space, Arcite 99-40 quests, the ability to obtain the BRAVE title, and special “shiny” drops of the BRAVE arsenal1
• The Pantheon Challenge activity will be removed1
• All seasonal activities and vendors from Lightfall’s seasons will be removed, as the seasonal format is changing.
• Legendary Shards, an iconic currency, will be completely removed so players should spend them before then.
• Weapon sunsetting, a controversial mechanic that limited older weapons, will be removed, making them viable again.

We’ll be updating this guide as soon as new details are out, but for now, let’s recap. what we’ve had in the current season. Are you with me?

Destiny 2 Next Release Date And Storyline Details

The current season of Destiny 2, named Season of the Wish, launched on November 28, 2023. Season of the Wish will also be the last season of Destiny 2, as The Final Shape will then replace seasons with episodes. I also want to note that Season of the Wish will be the longest season in Destiny 2 history, as The Final Shape has been delayed by three months, setting it’s release date to June 4, 2024.

The plot of the Destiny 2 new season, in my opinion, is key for the whole game because it is in it that the Guardians will finally be able to go after the Witness, safely passing through a huge portal in the Traveler. The plot revolves around the queen of the Awoken, Mara Sov, a warlock named Osiris, and the spirit of a powerful Ahamkara named Riven of a Thousand Voices.

The story begins with Riven of a Thousand Voices inviting players to come through her lair and claim the last clutch of Ahamkara eggs. In return, she will grant the Fifteenth Wish. This will take Destiny 2 players on an exciting adventure into the underground world beneath the Dreaming City, finding treasures and destroying Riven’s enemies along the way.

What To Expect From Destiny 2 New Season Of The Wish

The Destiny 2 new season has given all fans a lot of amazing stories and unique activities. If you’re just getting started with this season, I’ll outline below what you can expect.

• Warlord’s Ruin – a D2 new dungeon that is part of the endgame content for Season 23.
• Dawning – a special annual event dedicated to the Christmas holidays. Started on December 12.
• Starcrossed – a special exotic quest for Season 23. Users will receive a new exotic weapon – a string bow in the first slot called Wish-Keeper. 
• Moments of Triumph – a special annual event dedicated to the end of the game year. It will start in February.
• The Guardian Games – a special annual event in which three main classes compete against each other by fulfilling certain conditions.
• Destiny 2: Into the Light – a new period in the game’s life designed for seasoned veterans and new users. It will run from April to May before the launch of The Final Shape and will apparently bring new rewards with it.

In addition, players can expect improvements in the Destiny new season, for example:

• Group selection: six years after the release of Destiny 2, the developers finally added an in-game LFG system for assembling a group. So far, they have added its beta version and the full release should take place at the end of January 2024.
• Title: they added a new seal that allows you to get the Wishbearer title.
• Achievements: a huge number of different achievements have been added.

New Weekly Missions

Players can complete time-limited missions each week in the new Destiny 2 season to earn additional perks and exotic weapons.

For example, the recent Week 8 brought the following quests:

• Better Half: Complete “Starcrossed” in Legend difficulty. 
• Nest Egg: Complete The Coil and access the Chamber of Wishes. 
• Ritual Ornament: Acquire any ornament for the ritual weapon. 
• Taking all challenges: Complete weekly playlist challenges. 
• Fleeting Glory: Complete Competitive Crucible matches for bonus progress. 
• Life Dispersion: Defeat enemies with Solar, Stasis, and Strand subclasses in Gambit for bonus progress. 
• Kinetic Forces: Get final blows with Kinetic weapons for bonus progress.

For completing these missions, I got Bright Dust and Challenger XP rewards. Every week throughout the new Destiny 2 season, new missions must be completed if you want to receive bonus progress.

New Seasonal Activity – Riven’s Lair

Riven’s Lair is the first seasonal activity, which is a much simpler version of the second activity without any additional mechanics. Its essence is that a group of 3 gamers needs to complete 4 stages, each with its own task:

• The first is to activate 3 plates.
• The second is to go through the arena with opponents.
• The third is to activate 3 plates.
• The fourth is to defeat the final boss.

In my opinion, this activity exists for only one purpose: to quickly get random seasonal loot, without any special effort. There is a daily weekly rotation of stage variations.

The Coil is the second activity in the Destiny 2 new season, which I would even call the main one. In my opinion, it is very interesting, unusual, exciting, and quite complex. The latter is expressed in a set of main tasks and 10 modifiers, among which there are the following special options:

• The overall difficulty is adjusted to the group. Simply put, the larger the group, the more difficult it is.
• The light level of opponents in each subsequent section increases by 5 from yours. In other words, they will always be stronger than you.
• You have 21 resurrection charges; if they run out, the group automatically returns to orbit.

The essence of the activity is quite simple: you need to go through 4 sections, each of them consisting of 4 stages, as in the first activity. That is, activate 3 plates, then go through the arena with opponents, activate 3 plates again, defeat the final boss, and return to the room with Riven.

New Season Pass Rewards

As you buy the Season Pass, you get a rewards roadmap. The rewards are unlocked during the D2 new season, as you progress and improve your rank. There are a stunning 100 ranks, each coming with its own perk. The Season Pass rewards include XP boosts, engrammes, upgrades, exclusive loot, etc. For example, the Dragon’s Breath Exotic Rocket Launcher I’m covering later in this article becomes available when you get Rank 35. 

The Witcher Collab

As a big fan of The Witcher books, series, and especially the video games, I was very happy about this collaboration event in the Destiny 2 new season. Here’s what awaits you:

• Barrel Bath: your character, like Herald, basks in a barrel of water. This can be bought exclusively for silver. The price is 1200.
• Flood of Anger: finishing move in the Witcher style. The character uses the Igni or Aard sign and then strikes with the sword. The price is 1000 silver.
• White Wolf: a skin for armor in the Witcher style. I think it looks very nice, which makes it especially sad since the skin is sold for 2000 silver.
• Roach-VGH: a bike. This item, together with the Wolven Storm ship and the Wolven Shell ghost, is included in the set for 2500 silver.
• Profile background with the logo of the Wolf school: it is given for completing an achievement called Sword and Signs. It’s quite simple, as you only need to kill 100 enemies with a sword and 50 with fire melee abilities.

New Artifact (Queensfoil Censer)

The seasonal artifact this time is the Queensfoil Censer item and it contains different passive mods. The perks include the following:

• Anti-Barrier Sidearm;
• Unstoppable Hand Cannon;
• Unstoppable Bow;
• Overload Auto Rifles;
• Overload Pulse Rifle;
• A mod that increases damage when you play alone;
• 2 mods to enhance perk outcomes, including new weapons;
• A mod to increase the damage against the possessed and the despicable;
• 6 almost perfectly linked mods for the solar subclass;
• 2 linked mods for the Stasis subclass;
• 2 linked mods for the Strand subclass.

New Dungeon: Warlord’s Ruin

If you’ve wondered, when was the new dungeon released in Destiny 2, it was on December 1, 2023. Warlord’s Ruin Dungeon became the most recent addition to Destiny 2’s dungeons. This dungeon offers players a chance to earn rewards by engaging in multiple encounters and completing the dungeon. Warlord’s Ruin can be farmed for unlimited loot, allowing for multiple runs each week. However, I must note that similar to other Destiny 2 raids and dungeons, the Warlord’s Ruin Exotic can only be farmed once per character each week.

New Legendary Weapons

Players will get a great selection of brand-new weapons in the Destiny 2 new season. All legendary weapons are craftable. Here’s the full list:

The Returning Legendary Weapons

Destiny 2 has brought back some of the most popular weapons that fans have loved in the past. These weapons are in line with the Season of the Wish theme and include the Dreaming City weapons. You can find them in the Blind Well, the Shattered Throne, and the Ascendant Challenge chests. Here is the complete list of the returning weapons:

Dragon’s Breath Rocket Launcher Return

During the Destiny new season, players can receive various rewards, including legendary weapons, Deepsight Harmonizers, boosts, crafting materials, and nice armor ornaments. Additionally, Season Pass holders can unlock the Seasonal Exotic, which is a reimagined version of the fan-favorite Dragon’s Breath.

Seasonal Exotic & Seasonal Armor

Each Destiny 2 new season usually introduces one new Exotic armor piece for each class, while full expansions like Lightfall tend to include two pieces per class. Unfortunately, some Seasons don’t include any new Exotic armor at all, which is a disappointment. For example, we didn’t get any new Exotic armor in the Season of Arrivals. The same goes for the Season of the Wish, which means we won’t have any new Exotic armor pieces for seven months until the release of The Final Shape DLC.

Citadel PvP Map

Forsaken’s Citadel map returns to Crucible playlists in Season 23 as part of Bungie’s “reprisal map efforts.” The developers hope to relive “great memories of dominating Control matches” in the Dreaming City during the season.

Fireteam Finder – New Destiny 2 Matchmaking System

Season of the Wish has introduced a new Fireteam Finder system into Destiny 2. More Updates Coming With Season Of The Wish

No new events in Season of the Wish exist beyond those described above. All new features and missions are prepared for Destiny 2 next season (rather, episode) coming in June 2024. However, some minor technical updates are still planned.

Game Stability Improvements

In recent seasons, players have been experiencing several technical issues in Destiny 2, and to resolve them, Bungie decided to release several major updates. Their list for the next season of Destiny 2 looks like this:

• Reducing the maintenance and deployment downtime windows; 
• Enhancing the response procedures for incident recovery to hasten the restoration of Destiny 2 online as soon as possible when incidents happen;
• Focusing on more extensive and comprehensive architectural improvements to increase the service stability.

Conclusion

Destiny 2 is a fairly old game with a huge community. The game has its strengths and weaknesses, but it would be foolish to deny its popularity. I enjoy its Sci-Fi setting and genre, combining looting, shooting, and MMO. Although you need to study the world of the game not only directly during the gameplay but also through guides, I really like it and The Season of the Wishes in particular. My teammates and I, whom I met on GameTree, have already played over 100 hours of Destiny 2. So, enjoy the new story, complete exclusive quests, and wait for Destiny 2 next season (well, not season but episode) with me!
