Elden Ring Nightreign is a standalone action/RPG co-op survival with roguelike elements in the world of the Elden Ring game. The game takes place in procedurally generated locations that are well-known to Elden Ring players. In the network test, one of them was available – Limveld, which is very similar to Limgrave (the first area of the open world of Elden Ring). The game is designed exclusively for a co-op of 3 people, but you can start playing alone, and then, when you choose a goal for the run, two random players will join you. Over the course of three game days, leveling up in the location, you three will prepare to meet the final boss of the run.

The game has a mechanic similar to that of battle royale games – a shrinking game area that is restored after players defeat a secondary boss at the end of each game day.

Elden Ring Nightreign is not free to play, and a DLC is planned for it. It is an independent finished project whose focus is what players of the souls genre love most – the combat itself and the battle with bosses. Also, there are elements that add replayability and gaming excitement – constantly changing conditions in the form of procedurally generated loot and changeable locations.

After defeating them, the second day will begin, and you will have the opportunity to finish looting, improve your skills, level up, and explore areas you’ve missed on the first day. Then, at the end of the second day, you fight another mini-boss. On the third day, you can improve your weapon even more, and then you fight the main target. At the end of each run, your character level is reset, but there are various passive improvements (for example, fire damage of weapons or % to the chance of a critical hit) in the form of stones that you will earn and can equip and use in the next run.

The locations are vast, with a lot of points of interest that you want to explore, but the game has a very fast pace, and even the character’s running speed is higher than in the original Elden Ring. At first, I didn’t really like it – the game day ends quickly, and the safe zone of the map begins to narrow fast, so you will not have time to read the description of items and think about what equipment to choose. It is also important to collaborate and clear areas together, which is not so easy with random players.

However, the game is incredibly addictive, and you no longer want to stop after a few hours. And it’s all about the core gameplay – battles with bosses and other NPSs with constantly changing conditions. Elden Ring Nightreign is ideal for an audience that has played the original Elden Ring several times, has already studied everything, and wants something new but familiar at the same time. When I talked to other players, I found out that some of them periodically have connectivity problems between PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S consoles and between consoles and PC. The best solution to this problem now is to change the dynamic IP to a static IP.

Cult of the Lamb is a popular roguelike game where you need to manage a settlement, develop a cult of your sect, and wander through generated dungeons to kill heretics. Unholy Alliance is a big update for Cult of the Lamb that dropped on August 12, 2024, and it’s got some awesome stuff, including the co-op play that everyone’s been waiting for! Cult of the Lamb multiplayer is designed for two players only. My friend and I can choose who to play for – for example, I can be the goat, and my friend can be the lamb.

Besides Cult of the Lamb co-op, this update throws in some new buildings and loads of tarot cards. There are also some cool new relics to collect by finishing quests. Plus, each bishop now has a purified version of their relic. You just have to take on a quest, turn them into a demon, and bring them back to your temple to get it.

How Does Steam Remote Play Work?

I’ll tell you the bad news right away: unfortunately, the Cult of the Lamb co-op is only available locally, and the game doesn’t natively support online multiplayer. Still, if you have the Steam version of the game, you can play remotely via Steam Remote Play as a workaround.

How to Set Up Steam Remote Play With Cult of the Lamb

Remote Play is a Steam tool that allows you to stream games from a PC to other devices while the inputs from the remote device are supported. This way, you can organize an online co-op game without having to be physically nearby. To start the Cult of the Lamb online co-op via Remote Play, follow these steps:

Launch Steam and head to Settings.
Under the Steam Settings, search for Remote Play.
Turn on the Enable Remote Play option.

First of all, to access the local co-op in Cult of the Lamb, players need to complete the tutorial. After that, follow the steps I describe below:

Launch the game and pause it.
Select “Add Co-Op Player”.
Connect the second controller.
Assign it to either the lamb or the goat.
After that, press “Summon The Goat” to initiate co-op gameplay.

Co-Op Exclusive Multiplayer Updates

Once players start a co-op session, they will have access to the exclusive co-op Tarot Cards and Relics. Below, I list what the various cards give and describe some other unique Cult of the Lamb multiplayer features.

Co-Op Relics

Ashes of the Mercurial Mun (Slow) – Creates an exploring ring around both players.
Wishbone of the Marbais (Slow) – You take damage, and the other player gains 10 seconds of invulnerability.
The Clasped Hands (Slow) – Both players heal half a heart.
Cross Eye of the Crow (Fragile) – Spawns an eye that moves between both players and deals heavy damage to enemies on contact.
Kudaai’s Lost Tooth (Fragile) – Swap your weapon and Curse with the other player.

Quests

Bishop Quests – Unique quests that will let you learn more lore about the Bishops, as well as unlock a new trait and final reward from Narinder.
Dungeon Encounters – With the Unholy Alliance update, all dungeons have been reworked. You and your friend will have many new encounters in the dungeons!

Buildings

The update adds to new buildings:

Nursery – Allows you to care for three babies at a time until they grow up. By the way, you will have to clean up after them quite a bit. You can build as many nurseries as you want.
Knucklebones Table – This is an arena that allows you to play one match of Knucklebones per day against a follower of your choice. The difficulty of the match depends on the follower’s level, and defeating them instantly increases their level. You can only build one such structure in your sect.

Cult of the Lamb Co-op Tips

How to get the most out of playing Cult of the Lamb co-op? Here are some tips I can give from my own experience.

The introduction of co-op doesn’t change the fact that the game was designed for solo play. This means that whoever enters a room first initiates the dialogue, its progression, the choice of rewards, and what path you take at the end of each set of chambers. So, you either immediately agree on who in your pair is the leader and who is the follower, or it will be a competitive element for you.
The obvious advantage of playing Cult of the Lamb co-op is the formation of a joint build designed for maximum possible damage. This will ensure faster and more effective clearing of rooms and bosses.
Clearing the base and extracting resources will save you a lot of time if you do it together.
One of the advantages of a cooperative game is that you don’t have to choose which tarot card will be used and which will not since both will be used. You just need to agree and decide who will choose which.
Communication is key. Whether you play local co-op or launch Cult of the Lamb via Steam Remote Play, you need to agree on a number of things and communicate during the game session. So, if you play remotely, make sure both of you have a good Internet connection and an efficient voice chat.

Also, they added new game modes, and for the first time in 16 years, they brought back intergender battles. Now I can put a man and a woman against each other in the ring again! However, there are some features that may upset some players since although WWE 2K25 is crossplay, it has a tricky crossplay system. I figured out all the nuances, and below, I will tell you what’s what.

Is WWE 2K25 Crossplay?

WWE 2k25 supports crossplay but has a number of limitations regarding the type and generation of platforms. For example, current-gen console users can play together but not with PC players or those having previous-generation consoles.

WWE 2K25 Crossplay Explained

WWE 2K25 is a cross-platform game available on consoles and PCs with different configurations. And yes, WWE 2K25 is crossplay, but there is a nuance. Crossplay works within the same console generation. This means that PS5 players can only play with Xbox Series X|S players, and PS4 players can only play with Xbox One and PC players. As you’ve probably understood, the developers assigned PCs to the pool of previous-generation consoles. So, PS5 and Xbox Series X|S can play with each other, but separately from previous-generation consoles and PCs.

If you are confused, don’t worry. I was confused, too and that’s why I created this table about WWE 2K25 crossplay:

Cross-Progression System

WWE 2K25 supports cross-progression, but just like with crossplay, there are a number of limitations. Cross-progression only applies to consoles of the same family, i.e. PS4 and PS5 can save and transfer the progress between each other, and Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S have separate cross-progression.

I also want to note that according to 2 K’s FAQ, cross-progression and shared VC Wallet are available through the PlayStation console family, but DLC items can’t be transferred between generations. Xbox One to Xbox Series X/S players have the shared VC Wallet but not cross-progression.

Community Creations Sharing

WWE 2K25 does not support cross-generation Community Creations, so players on different console generations will not be able to share user-created content with each other.

Players on PC and previous-gen consoles (i.e. PlayStation 4 and Xbox One) will be able to share created content with each other, but this does not apply to current-gen consoles. PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S players have their own separate ecosystem.

The Island Mode and Its Impact on Crossplay

WWE 2K25 has a new game mode called The Island, which offers both single-player and multiplayer content and a huge amount of customization options for the characters. Honestly, I spent many hours just customizing and enjoyed it!

The Island consists of 4 different WWE-themed districts, with the main feature being a unique arena. There, players not only complete quests and challenges but can also fight with other online players which refers to the crossplay option in WWE 2K25. In addition, The Island hosts several themed stores, including popular fashion brands and the WWE Store, which offers exclusive MySUPERSTARS customization options.

By completing quests, matches, challenges, and live events, I earned XP and VC, which I now can use to increase MySUPERSTAR attributes, unlock badges, and customize my character.

Unfortunately, The Island is only available to players on the current-generation consoles (PS5 and Xbox S/X).

Why does WWE 2K25 crossplay has such limitations? In fact, with the previous-generation consoles, everything is more or less clear and it is a matter of technical limitations. But with the absence of The Island on PC not everything is so obvious. According to Lynell Jinks, WWE 2K25’s creative director, they decided not to launch The Island on PC because it is difficult to optimize the mode for a wide variety of PC configurations. The second reason is the presence of cheaters who could break the progression.

Practical Buying Guide for Crossplay

Now that you know that WWE 2K25 is crossplay, which version of the game to buy for which platform? This is a simple and complex question at the same time, and it depends on what platforms you have and what your friends have if you want to play with them.

If you consider buying the game to fight with friends, the key factor will be the presence of a common platform since the game has restrictions on WWE 2K25 crossplay, which I described in the article above.

Create a guild! This way, you can share a base and resources, reducing everyone’s grinding routine and speeding up your overall progression. You will also be able to see other guild members on the map, making it easier to navigate when searching for resources or bosses.
If you have items that you do not want to share, you can put them in a chest and add a password to keep it locked.
Remember that when you drop a Pal, they can be picked up by anyone in the overworld, whether or not they’re in your guild.
When playing in a group, having only one base is essential for group play and progression.
To get the maximum number of items, players in co-op should purchase different items from the technology tree.
Fighting bosses in a group allows you to use more Pals, and everyone in the battle gets the same amount of XP.

If Palworld Multiplayer Is Not Working

If multiplayer is not working, the first thing to do is visit Palworld’s official website or social media channels for any announcements regarding server status. If there’s ongoing maintenance, patience is key.

It would be a good idea to make sure that you are using the latest version of the game with all updates.
Make sure that you have a stable internet connection and there are no problems on the provider side.
