  • Counter Strike and Call of Duty are aimed at different audiences and do not compete.
  • While CS2 is a conservative FPS, CoD provides more game modes and experiences.
  • The core of Counter-Strike always remains the same, with rare updates. Call of Duty pleases gamers with new content consistently.
  • In CS2, having a solid team is crucial. In CoD, playing solo is possible.
  • CS2 is free to play, while you need to pay from $69 for Call of Duty.
  • Both Counter-Strike and Call of Duty are eSports disciplines, but CS2 has much more impact and popularity in this industry.

Every time someone compares Counter-Strike vs Call of Duty, they run into a lot of discussions because every ardent player has their own opinion about which game is better. However, I took the risk of writing this review so that our GameTree users can get to know these two games better and decide which one will suit their gaming preferences.

Call of Duty and Counter-Strike 2, two giants in the FPS (first-person shooter) genre, are extremely popular on all continents right now. Yet, their appeal lies in their unique gameplay styles, attracting different audiences. Let’s explore these games further to see which one resonates more with your gaming style.

About Counter Strike 2 And Call Of Duty Games

Before comparing Call of Duty vs Counter Strike, let’s start with some basics about these two games.

Counter-Strike is a series of team-based first-person shooters that grew out of the Half-Life modification of the same name and dates back to 1999. Its main feature is the general focus on eSports with many events with huge prizes taking place every year. The second feature of Counter-Strike is the general conservatism, as almost all the game’s core elements have remained unchanged for more than 20 years. The new title of the legendary series is CS2. It was released in 2023 and replaced CS:GO (Global Offensive).

Call of Duty is a first-person shooter series that dates back to 2003. Since their inception, the games in the series have been dedicated to WW2. The series then moved away from this setting in favor of modern conflicts and occasionally returned to WW2. Currently, the latest game in the Call of Duty series is Modern Warfare III (2023). The CoD games typically include a single-player story mode, multiplayer with different game modes, and a cooperative zombie mode. Call of Duty is also presented in eSports, mainly in the US and Western Europe.

CS2 Vs CoD: Are The Games Alike?

As a big fan of shooters and a connoisseur of both games, I believe that CS2 and CoD are different. Honestly, there’s no point comparing Counter-Strike 2 vs Call of Duty since they do not compete with each other. They have different audiences, but all shooter fans play both since these games offer different experiences and do not directly clash.

Key Differences Between CS2 And CoD

As I said, Call of Duty and Counter-Strike 2 are not similar, and yet they still have some things in common, such as the FPS genre. Well, let’s still try to look at them from different angles and see in what ways they are similar and how they differ.

Price

For any gamer that compares CoD vs CS:GO/CS2, the price is definitely among the main factors to consider.

Counter-Strike 2 has a big advantage: it is free to play. Prime status costs $14.99 and includes separate matchmaking and competitive games.

Call of Duty costs an average of $69 for the base edition and more than $99 for the ultimate edition, which includes various bonuses for pre-order, season pass and early access.

Teamplay Dynamics

In Counter-Strike, team play is not just a strategy; it’s the game’s foundation. While playing solo with randoms can be effective at low ranks, it becomes increasingly challenging as you progress. Teamwork and constant communication are not just beneficial, they are critical. If you don’t have a team yet, platforms like GameTree can help you find like-minded players to assemble an effective team or join an existing one.

Call of Duty is different from CS:GO and CS2: there are many modes where your success often depends on individual skill. However, there are also team modes in which team chemistry will be a significant bonus. In general, it is desirable to have a ready squad to play Call of Duty, but it is not required. A solo player will have something to do there, and in many situations, personal skill will be enough if we are not talking about eSports.

Mechanical Skill

In Counter-Strike, the player’s mechanical skill plays a key role, and it’s not just about reaction and aiming. Factors like player movement, recoil control, and weapon choice are crucial.

In Call of Duty, the gameplay is dynamic and fast-paced, where quick movement takes precedence over mechanical skills. However, good aiming still holds its importance.

Therefore, when comparing CS2 vs CoD in terms of mechanical skills, Counter-Strike has a slightly higher entry threshold than Call of Duty.

Weapons And Progression

In Counter-Strike, weapons have no upgrades. Your success will depend on your skill and understanding of the in-game economy. Everyone has access to almost the same arsenal, so the match’s outcome depends on the players’ skills.

In CoD, everything is arranged differently, with weapons modifications and various perks. You will create a build to suit your playing style, improve weapons by adding attachments, and customize your inventory and perks. Finding the right build for your playing style and fine-tuning all equipment will be your constant activity, which will not least influence the match’s outcome.

In this case, your choice between Counter-Strike vs Call of Duty will depend on what you like more — improving your skill with equal conditions and a somewhat limited arsenal or finding the right build and fine weapon customization.

Matchmaking

Call of Duty and Counter-Strike 2 have different approaches to matchmaking and are not similar to each other. I can’t definitely say that one of them is better in terms of matchmaking; they are just different.

In Counter-Strike, the ranking system is based on MR12: the first team to win 13 rounds wins. Players are rated based on their performance, and their level will influence future ranked matchmaking.

In CoD, matchmaking is based on SBMM: the system selects players of approximately the same skill level for a match, but the player’s rank is also considered, and a level 10 player will not be matched with a level 100 player.

Variety Of Content

Counter-Strike doesn’t often provide players with new content, especially when it comes to maps, weapons, or modes. Most often, various updates concern skins. But the fact is that this is not really necessary since the Counter-Strike audience is very conservative and rather negatively perceives any changes in the game.

In contrast to CS2, Call of Duty often delights players with new content, thanks to the constantly changing Battle Pass, daily packs in the store, and the monthly appearance of new weapons and characters.

If new content, various bonuses, and events are important to you, then CoD is better than CS2.

eSports

Counter-Strike is undoubtedly the leader in eSports, but Call of Duty is also a major player in this industry, with the most popularity in the US. However, if we compare Counter-Strike 2 vs Call of Duty within eSports, CS2 will be the leader since its scale and influence are not comparable to Call of Duty’s.

Things We Particularly Enjoy In CS2

  • One of the best competitive shooters. It is not only interesting to play but also to follow all the eSports movement around the game.
  • Balance and equal conditions for teams. The game has not changed much globally for more than 20 years. Not many new maps have been released, and even fewer new weapons have been released, but the game is perfectly balanced, and both teams are on equal terms.
  • Easy to start, hard to master. Counter-Strike 2 is very easy to start playing; everything is intuitive and made as simple and convenient as possible here. But just as it is easy to start playing Counter-Strike 2, it is not easy to start winning.
  • Conservative, old-school shooter. The game changed several engines and updated the graphics, but its essence, maps, shooting, and internal economy remained unchanged. Therefore, today, it is an original shooter that does not try to follow trends but goes its own way.

Features That We Like In CoD

  • Variety of content. When buying another game in the Call of Duty series, you essentially buy 3 different games: a story campaign, multiplayer with various modes, maps, and its own progression, and the Zombie mode, which is literally a separate game inside the game.
  • Fast-paced shooter. The game traditionally has a very fast pace of play, shooting, movement, cooldown after death, etc.
  • Progression and regular content updates. There are a lot of things in the game that you can customize, from weapons to perks. Plus, thanks to constant updates and battle passes, the already considerable amount of content becomes even larger.
  • Low entry threshold. Spray control is not required here and, in general, the player can play solo and win due to their skills, although not in all modes. So, CoD may be better than CS2 for newbies in the shooter genre.

Counter-Strike 2, like other popular eSports games, has a ranking system that has been changed compared to CS:GO competitive ranks. There are now two ranking systems in CS2. One of them is CS, which is familiar to all players, where we have ranks from Silver to Global Elite in the classic Competitive mode. The other system is a new one called Counter-Strike Rating, and to climb this rating ladder, you need to play matches in Premier mode. I know it can be a little confusing, so I’ve prepared a guide to the CS2 ranking system and ranks in particular.

About CS2 Ranks And How They Work

CS2 ranks aren’t just about bragging rights – they’re vital for fair matchmaking. With 18 ranks spread across six tiers, from Silver I to Global Elite, CS2 accommodates players of all skill levels. Unlike CS:GO competitive ranks, CS2 uses a map-based ranking system. This means your rank can vary depending on the map. While it may seem tricky, it’s smart because it lets you practice on every map without worrying about facing pro gamers. So, how do you climb the ladder? Ranks reflect your skills in positioning, aim, map knowledge, and more. Mastering these skills and understanding the CS2 ranking system is key to competitive success.

CS2 Skill Groups And Tires

CS2 competitive ranks are the same as those in CS:GO; thus, experienced players will be familiar with them. However, even among new players, there were no great difficulties in understanding the ranks. As I noted above, there are 18 ranks in Counter-Strike 2 and four big categories: Silver, Gold Ring, Master Guardian, and Legendary. Here is the full CS2 ranks list:

  1. Silver 1
  2. Silver 2
  3. Silver 3
  4. Silver 4
  5. Silver Elite
  6. Silver Elite Master
  7. Gold Nova 1
  8. Gold Nova 2
  9. Gold Nova 3
  10. Gold Nova Master
  11. Master Guardian 1
  12. Master Guardian 2
  13. Master Guardian Elite
  14. Distinguished Master Guardian
  15. Legendary Eagle
  16. Legendary Eagle Master
  17. Supreme Master First Class
  18. Global Elite
Competitive CS2 ranks are the same as those in CS:GO

Silver

This is the lowest level in the CS2 rank system. Players who fall into this rank are more likely to be newbies or completely casual players who enter CS2 mainly for the occasional fun. In order for a player to grow in ranks, in addition to the ability to shoot accurately, they will have to master a number of essential things in the game:

  • Understand the CS2 economic system and use it correctly with your team;
  • Know the maps and places where you need to use grenades or smoke;
  • Know the names of places on the map and inform the team in time about the enemy’s movements;
  • Understand how each weapon’s spray works and train it in the same way as the aim.

Only after this, as well as regular play with friends, will you have a chance to break out of the Silver and begin to show more effective play.

Gold Nova

This CS2 rank includes amateurs who regularly play this game but do not pay much attention to systematic skill development. If such players find themselves in matches with silver randoms, they can pull the entire round. These are seasoned players who still have a lot to learn.

Master Guardian

These are experienced players who have spent thousands of hours in the game. Only skillful and dedicated players can reach this CS2 rating scale. These players shoot well, know maps, timings for enemy players’ appearance, smokes, etc., and also show good team play and smoothly move up the ranks.

Legendary

Legendary Eagle to Legendary Eagle Master are ranks associated with an above-average competitive level. Players at these ranks usually care a lot about their statistics and match results and can be very dissatisfied, to put it mildly, if you do not play at the proper level in a match with such players. And if you made it to the Global Elite, congratulations. You are at the top of the CS2 rankings, and maybe you should try yourself in professional esports!

How To Get Ranked In CS2?

Both types of CS2 ranking systems require players to play 10 qualifying matches. Depending on your performance, you will receive your starting rank in Competitive mode and your first Counter-Strike rank in Premier mode.

CS2 Rank Distribution

The general picture of the rank distribution in CS2 competitive mode and without division into maps looks like this:

RankDistribution
Silver 1 3.8%
Silver 2 4.23%
Silver 3 4.37%
Silver 4 5.21%
Silver Elite 6.44%
Silver Elite Master 7.78%
Gold Nova 1 8.76%
Gold Nova 28.79%
Gold Nova 3 9.05%
Gold Nova Master 8.08%
Master Guardian 1 7.55%
Master Guardian 2 6.61%
Master Guardian Elite 5.24%
Distinguished Master Guardian 4.15%
Legendary Eagle3.25%
Legendary Eagle Master 3.2%
Supreme Master First Class2.64%
Global Elite 0.75%

Exact numbers may vary, as competitive activity in the CS2 community is very dynamic. But overall, these percentages remain approximately the same.

What Is CS2 Premier Ranking System And How Does It Work?

The new ranking system in CS2 is called CS Rating. It operates in Premier Mode and is based on you earning points in matches.

This ranking system is more in line with modern competitive matchmaking standards and is based on the Elo rating. It has a clear number of points that can be earned and a point-based ranking ladder. The CS2 Premier Ranking system also features seasonal, regional, and global leaderboards to motivate players to improve and continually train.

CS2 Premier Mode Availability

For the Premier Mode to become available, you need to purchase Prime status through a one-time payment to Steam and reach level 10. The Premier Mode unlocks a variety of game modes, including the main competitive mode and competitive tasks. It should also be noted that users with Prime status are matched with other Prime players. This is a very wise decision because it separates casual players from enthusiastic and interested ones since Counter-Strike 2 is distributed according to the F2P model. Prime players can also receive souvenirs, items, and weapon cases exclusive to Prime status.

The Difference Between CS:GO And CS2 Ranking Systems

There are not many changes in the CS2 ranking system compared to CS:GO, but they are significant. I have decided to present them in the form of a table below for your convenience.

How CS2 Matchmaking Works?

When searching for a match, you’ll be paired with players within a 5-rank range of yours. If not, you’ll need to gather a team of 5. The GameTree app would be a perfect place to seek for 4 other players of a similar CS:GO 2 rank if you don’t have a team yet.

After the system has selected players for you, map selection begins, which also has changes in Premier mode.

Premier Mode in CS2 will not allow players to queue for a specific map, and they will have to go through the map selection and banning phase before starting a match. The first team must ban two cards, and the second bans three. Once five cards are banned, the first team will only have to choose two cards, a side, and start the match.

Tips For Ranking Up In CS2

I’ve been a fan of Counter-Strike for many years, and I’ve often met players who don’t fully understand the CS2 rating system. Because their rank did not increase and they were constantly matched with weak players, they obviously got irritated and did not want to play anymore. I have some tips if you don’t know how to quickly improve your rank.

  • Train aim and spray control – If you want to improve your aim, you should take part in aiming training on specially designed maps. In addition, participating in headshot-only or free-for-all matches will help. Don’t forget that each weapon has its own bullet recoil pattern, so it’s important to study various videos of how this mechanic works and regularly practice spray control.
  • Emphasize teamwork and communication – CS2 is primarily a team game, and effective communication is essential to success. Sharing information about the enemy and coordinating strategies and actions become important elements that significantly increase the chances of winning matches and improving the CS2 ranking. You can organize effective communication and teamwork through GameTree features, such as in-built voice chat you can join with one single tap and group chats for teammates.
  • Learn all maps thoroughly – It is important to know the maps well, as well as the names of all the key points on them, the timing of enemies’ appearance, and the best shooting places.
  • Watch professional matches to learn tactics/positioning – This will help you understand the tactics used by professionals. It’s also worth taking the time to study tutorials, analyze the strategies of expert players and teams, and try to apply them in your games.
  • Analyze mistakes and identify areas to improve – It’s worth taking time to analyze your own and other teammates’ mistakes. You can also watch recordings of your games to better understand what went wrong and what you need to improve or do differently in matches. If you are serious about moving up the ranks and achieving success, you can also discuss this with other team members during calls in GameTree.
  • Practice utility usage – Learning how to properly use the utilities in CS2 is essential. At the lowest CS2 ranks, many players do not buy grenades and smoke at all, and this is a big mistake. A correctly thrown Molotov can burn half a team, and a popflash can get you a free kill. If you have money, always buy useful things. Also, don’t forget the age-old proverb: don’t be a loser; buy a defuser.
One of the keys to improving your CS2 rankings is playing frequently with other engaged players

Final Thoughts

The developers not only changed the engine and updated the graphics but also made global changes to the CS2 ranking system and generally brought the game up to modern standards. The game has no intention of losing popularity and relevance among both amateur and esports players. It is still one of the main first-person shooters on the planet and one of my favorite online games so far! In this article, I talked in detail about the current CS2 ranks, and I hope that this information will be relevant to you. See you on the maps!

I started playing CS when I was studying in high school and I’m doing it now. Now, after almost twenty years, there are many more great shooters. However, not to diminish the advantages of other games in this category, in my opinion, in 2024, there are only two games that can compete for the title of FPS king. So, meet the Valorant vs CS2 battle.

Of course, everyone chooses what they like, and it is impossible to tell for sure which shooter is better. As soon as they say, “Valorant is the best,” opponents with different opinions will immediately appear. In this article, you will find an unbiased comparison of both games and choose where to start — CS2 or Valorant. At the end, we will also tell you how to find teammates for both games no matter what level you are at (spoiler alert: you can obviously find them at GameTree). So, let’s go!

General Facts About Valorant and CS2

Even if you are new to the realm of first-person shooters, you have probably heard about Valorant and Counter-Strike 2 (CS2). Both games have thousands of fans and are worthy representatives of esports. But what makes these games so popular? Let’s start with the basics.

Valorant

Valorant is developed by Riot Games, which already says a lot. In 2009, the company released the legendary League of Legends, and in 2019 — its mobile version. In 2020, the developers finally finished and released a new shooter — Valorant. It combines tactical shooter mechanics with character-based play. We will discuss all these details in the relevant sections below.

The principle of the game is quite simple: a team consists of 5 people (agents) who have unique abilities. In the game, it is important to not only shoot well but also be able to use your character’s skills. It is difficult to reach high levels in Valorant without knowing how to work as a team. Is Valorant better than CS2? Only if we take some technical aspects. For example, the game runs on servers with a rate of 128 ticks and uses the modern Vanguard anti-cheat system. So, it’s not that easy to cheat there.

Basic facts:

  • Released in 2020;
  • Shooter with character-based features;
  • Team of 5 people;
  • 128-tick servers.

CS2 and CS:GO

It’s too early to disregard the legendary Counter-Strike — the game has many advantages and a large army of fans. CS2 is the latest version of the legendary series that essentially created the FPS genre. It is based on its predecessor CS:GO but has more intense gameplay.

Unlike Valorant, the main focus of the developers was on tactics, bomb disposal scenarios, and hostage rescue. As a player with many years of experience, I will say that at pro levels, you need extreme accuracy and deep knowledge of maps.

The game was created by another famous company Valve, and the last version was released just recently, so many gamers contemplate over transition from Valorant to CS2. Just like Val, it is completely free. The game runs on 64-tick servers, which is slightly worse in terms of anti-cheating.

Basic facts:

  • Released in 2023 (last version);
  • Classical FPS;
  • Team of 5 people;
  • 64-tick servers.

Valorant VS CS2: Gameplay Comparison

When I first opened Valoran, it felt like I was playing a slightly redesigned CS game. The shooters are really similar at first glance. Both are played from the first person with teams and similar objectives. But when you start looking into the details, you notice many differences. This is true both for CS2 and CS:GO vs Valorant comparisons.

Thus, Val’s graphics are more refined and detailed. Each agent is unique, making the game visually pleasing. At the same time, CS2 focuses more on realistic shooting and dynamic details. For me, excitement and speed are more important than the visual aspect, but each player has their preferences. Do you want to understand the differences between the games? See the details in the text below.

Breaking Down Key Differences Between CS2 and Valorant

True fans can talk about these two great games endlessly. Not to waste your time and provide clear answers to possible questions, we have divided the technical part of our Valorant vs CS2 review into seven sections: core mechanics, story, game design, agents and abilities, weapons, game economy, and eSports scene. Let’s dive even deeper!

Core Mechanics

Is Valorant like CS2 in terms of core mechanics? Not at all. Games have fairly similar shooting mechanics but not the same. True, fans of the Val claim that shooting in Valorant is much more accurate. In addition, the game boasts different styles. So, I prefer to get close to enemies and use sprays, while many of my friends like to shoot from a long distance.

Also, it is important to note the opinion of the CS veterans (to whom I belong) that CS2 is the most complex shooter in history from a mechanical point of view. It is really difficult to hit, but with proper training, it brings great pleasure. Counter-Strike requires quick thinking, instant reactions, and a good understanding of where to aim.

Valorant

  • Smoother;
  • Easier to hit the enemy;
  • The average level of difficulty.

CS2

  • More rapid;
  • Requires proper training (especially for pro levels);
  • Realistic shooting mechanics.

Story

The idea of Valorant is similar to CS2. You find yourself on a map where two teams of 5 people participate. One team attacks, and the other defends. The attackers will win if they can plant a bomb (in Valorant, it is called a “spike”). And the task of the defenders is to neutralize it or kill all those attacking. In general, the idea is quite simple, which is good for a shooter.

Visuals and Game Design

Let’s be honest: we don’t play FPS games for the sake of design. However, beautiful skins and maps add to the satisfaction of good shooting. Valorant vs CS2 is, in some sense, a competition of different approaches to design. Counter-Strike faithfully adheres to tradition and maintains a more brutal and strict style that matches the entire series of games. Valorant features vibrant colors, clear details, and nice smoothing. If you watch another person play, you might momentarily forget that this is not a science-fiction film with flashy special effects.

Valorant

CS2

Agents and Abilities

Agents and abilities are, perhaps, the aspect that differs the most in the Valorant vs CS2 confrontation. Let’s start with a younger shooter. In Val, each agent is unique and can do things other players cannot. This adds a certain strategic complexity to the game: victory depends not only on the skills of shooting and maneuvering but also on the ability to cooperate.

In CS2, all agents are the same but can use different weapons. Here, you will definitely need the ability to skillfully use machine guns and grenades. The personal efficiency of players and the ability to quickly react to what is happening on the map come to the fore.

One conclusion comes to mind: the one who plays with great players wins. I was looking for a team to play Valorant through GameTree. There, by the way, you can find teammates, friends, and people who are willing to share their best gaming practices. Check it out and let’s move to the weapons section.

Valorant

  • Unique agents;
  • Complex abilities;
  • Strategy-oriented.

CS2

  • Same agents with different weapons;
  • Tactical teamwork is crucial;
  • Personal skills are at the fore.

Weapons

Valorant, unlike CS2, has fictional models of weapons. Of course, they look like regular CS items, but still, this is a completely different story. In the Val player’s arsenal, there are six types of weapons, the analogs of which are also well-known to CS2 players.

Among the guns, you can find a standard analog of the Glock-18, which has an automatic firing mode. The Ghost is very similar to the CT USP-S weapon. When it comes to rifles, Valorant has a FAMAS Bulldog equivalent. There is also an analog M4A1-S weapon with a Phantom silencer.

Since Valorant is more focused on player abilities, there are no grenades like CS2 has. Of course, agents can blind the enemy or blow smoke. I prefer the classic approach of fighting with pistols and grenades, but this is a matter of taste.

Valorant

  • SMGs
  • Rifles
  • Shotguns
  • Machine guns

CS2

  • Pistols
  • Rifles
  • SMGs
  • Heavy weapons

Customization and Economy

Both Valorant and CS2 have an in-game economic system that allows you to purchase weapon skins. In Val, they have different levels and unique details. However, all customization is limited to the initially programmed design. You can buy skins in the store or at the night market. For deep understanding, it is important to learn Valorant ranks compared to CS2.

In CS2 you also have the opportunity to upgrade your weapons. Additionally, players can add stickers to their guns. Rare items make weapons much more valuable. Players can also customize their gloves, a handy feature not found in the Val shooter. In general, both games have quite interesting economic systems that can increase the excitement and enjoyment of the game (if you use resources wisely).

Valorant skin levels

  • Deluxe
  • Premium
  • Ultra
  • Exclusive

CS2 skin levels

Esports Scene

Although Valorant was released much later than CS, there is very intense competition between these games in eSports. There is no doubt that Val has seized the initiative and is developing rapidly. Now, there is no clear consensus among experts regarding the question, “Will CS2 allow a new shooter to take the throne or not?”

Tournaments for both games are held regularly. The number of professional teams in the Counter Strike vs Valorant world is large. However, there is a difference. Val is more focused on a clear system of leagues and global tournaments, and in the CS world, there are many more independent competitions. The dispute about the winner is still far from being resolved — we will monitor the situation.

Valorant

  • International leagues;
  • China league;
  • Valorant masters;
  • Valorant champions.

CS2

  • BLAST Premier;
  • ESL Pro League;
  • CCT Global Finals.

Valorant vs CS2 Player Count

Valorant currently boasts an impressive player count, with estimates around 10 million monthly players, significantly outpacing Counter-Strike 2 (CS2), which has a peak of approximately 1.8 million. The game’s success has been bolstered by its recent crossplay release, allowing players across different platforms to compete together, enhancing its accessibility and player engagement

Things We Love About Valorant that CS2 Doesn’t Offer

The unique abilities of Valorant’s agents and the vibrant aesthetic are two of the game’s main selling points. They give us the opportunity to evaluate a shooter not only as a battle arena but also as a beautiful design project. To some extent, Valoran has its Universe with unique weapons, skins, and maps. Another plus is working on servers with a frequency of 128 ticks. For professionals, this matters.

What You Won’t Find in Valorant But Will in CS2

CS2 offers a high level of tactical gunplay and gun realism. It requires a lot of skill to win, which makes the game extremely fun. An important factor is the long history and close-knit community. Well, in the end, many veterans are simply not ready to exchange the good old CS for something new.

Final Thoughts

The choice between Valorant and CS2 depends on personal preference. I play both, but more often CS. Maybe it’s because I’ve known this game for over ten years. However, I am ready to admit that Val is the only FPS that can compete with Counter-Strike. I think you need to try both, and let me know which one you prefer in the end!
